Windows 11 New Features
Windows 11 is finally officially launched after the massive release of Microsoft Livestream. If you missed it, Windows 11 includes a fully redesigned UI, new features, Auto HDR for games, Android apps, and much more. There is a lot you need to know about Windows 11, but if you just look at the completely new features you will find it below
1. Auto HDR Gaming
If you play any classic games or non-HDR games on PC, Windows 11 will be able to automatically update the light and color to meet the HDR spec. This feature has been on the Xbox for a while so it was inevitable to see it coming to gaming PCs. Microsoft promises to deliver auto HDR to over 1,000 games including Age of Empires Definitive Edition, Rocket League, Day Z, and Doom 64.
2. Amazon's Android Apps Come to the Microsoft Store
The biggest surprise of Windows 11 is that it can run Android Apps. Unfortunately, Android Apps are not fully integrated into the Microsoft Store, but instead you will be able to access them via the Amazon Appstore. From there you can open them in the task bar or Start Menu, and even plug them in like any other Windows-based apps.
Android apps running Windows 11 thanks to the new "Intel Bridge" combination that helps apps run on the x86 system. What’s even better is that this Intel tool works well on AMD and Arm-based processors too, so all PCs should be able to use Android apps.
On a smaller note, the new Microsoft Store will also include streaming media from many companies and providers such as Disney +. Windows 11 also allows you to upgrade media to your 4K TV with "wireless connect."
3. New Design
Of course, the most striking feature of the new Window 11 design is the work bar located in the center. Traditionally Windows has always had the first button located at the far left, but is now closer to the place for easy access to users with large monitors or ultrawide displays.
Windows 11 also includes soft visuals with many rounded corners, animation transitions, and more vivid display effects. The widget panel for example is now set on a glass sheet flying from the right and you can cover it over all your open windows.
4. Faster
Microsoft promises that Windows 11 is faster and faster waking up, Windows Hello login, Edge browsing and any web browser, and new Windows updates will be as low as 40%.
With regard to gaming, Microsoft has introduced a new feature called Direct Storage that allows games to directly upload assets to an image card. This should lead to shorter loading times and faster graphics rendering.
5. Snap Layouts
Windows scanning has been around for a long time, but with larger and larger screens gaining more appeal, simply being able to scan Windows in four corners is no longer useful. Yes, Snap Properties offers many options including arranging three side windows, a large two-dimensional window set aside, and much more. While working on multiple windows settings, Windows 11 will also remember which apps you have opened and their settings in the Snap Group also stored in the task bar.
6. Windows Widgets
Widgets have come back as the basis for Windows 11 that Microsoft calls for personal feeds powered by A.I. The widget pack includes standard items you can expect such as weather, stocks, and maps. However, Microsoft has paid special attention to the news feed widget, which is designed to suit your preferences whether it be international politics, Esports and local news.
All widgets fall on the glass sheet that comes in from the left and you can paste them over all your open windows.
7. New Tablet Mode
Windows 11 is an advanced experience for Windows tablet users. As soon as you switch your device to tablet mode or remove it from the keyboard, the UI shifts subtly with extra space between icons and larger touch targets. Reducing size and moving around windows with touches is easy due to the new animation. Windows 11 also adds a touch screen touch as a three-finger switch to scan a window or a three-finger swipe to minimize it.
